Vernon and District Immigrant and Community Services Society

Since 1989, our non-profit society has offered many services for newcomers, immigrants, refugees, first-generation Canadians and naturalised citizens, helping with settlement and integration into Vernon. We offer services in multiple languages, and referals can be made to connect newcomers to community services. VDICSS's staff and volunteers provide assistance with citizenship and immigration applications, accreditation of diplomas and degrees, coaching for certificates and licenses as well as translation and interpretation. Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada and Employment Service programs are available. Newcomers are encouraged to use our computer lab which provides internet access, a job-posting board and labour market information.
